The history of the FVK started in 1898

1970The FVK has a new task: it distributes meals. They are delivered by the city kitchen and warmed up and distributed by the FVK. The FVK helps the mountain village Sent GR.

19723631 meals are obtained and distributed. They are sold for Fr. 3.20. The difference to the purchase price of Fr. 3.50 is taken over by the FVK.

1973
The FVK collaborates in the inauguration of the Kilchberg parish hall. He donates for the new Pfadiheim in Kilchberg.

1980
First general meeting in the parish hall and first bazaar in the parish hall. The first lunch for single people in the AHV (old age and survivors’ pension) age is offered by the FVK. 50 people spontaneously accept the invitation. The food comes ready-made from the Lindt & Sprüngli kitchen.

1988Connection to the Nonprofit Women’s Association and 50th lunch.

1990Opening of “Brockenstübli”

1998100 years anniversary FVK

2003Opening of the new Brocki on May 24.

2005
30 guided tours are carried out by the FVK in the five years. 15 years of Brocki are celebrated with a party. For the first time, the Christmas sale is held together with the lunch. First participation in the St. Klaus market.

2010The FVK goes online: www.frauenvereinkilchberg.ch. The logo is slightly adapted

2022The logo as well as the website get a complete redesign.

1898The Women’s Association is founded. Together with the Association for the Poor.

1941
The FVK is mainly active in caring. It helps women to go to the health resort or on vacation, makes home visits and cash assistance, and sends clothes to soldiers (in cooperation with the Red Cross). He distributes useful Christmas gifts. In the following years, sewing and knitting continues.

1948The FVK is limited to the care of the reformed inhabitants of Kilchberg. In the same time the FVK joined the ref. women’s federation of Switzerland.

1957The FVK raises money for the SAFFA (Swiss Exhibition for Women’s Work). Cooperation with the Women’s Center and further education offers.

1959Anger over the rejection of women’s suffrage.

1961The 1st childcare service is offered by the FVK in the Schellergut on Wednesday afternoons. The founding year of the FVK, which remained in the dark for a long time, could finally be determined. Mrs. Pastor Schweingruber was finally able to find out the year of the it is said to have been the year 1898.
